Dating back to the 17th century the Quaich was traditionally made from wood and was used to share a dram of whisky or ale amoung friends, it became a symbol of hospitality and trust. The wide shape and two lugs (handles) encouraged sharing, signifying openness and unity. Today, the Quaich is often used in weddings as a ceremonial cup to mark the union of two families.
Whisky Cask Lids
Using Whisky Casks which have served their time ageing whisky prior to bottling we clean them up and carve designs onto them, the design shown was for my wedding where we carried out a hand fasting ceremony as part of the day. This design can be adapted with your names and wedding date
Oil Lamps
These small oil lamps bring a subtle warmth to any table setting or mantle place and can be personalised to suit your occasion and then later as a wonderful keepsake
